Privacy Policy

Account information. If you create an account, we collect the information you provide or that your sign-in provider shares with us — your name, email address, and profile image. You can sign in with Google, or with an email and password if you register directly; in the latter case we store a securely hashed version of your password, never the password itself.

Usage data. When you use a tool, we record lightweight usage events — which tool was used, its category, and the type of event (viewed, started, completed) — tied to your account if you're signed in, or anonymously if you're not. We do not record the content of files you process.

Contact form submissions. If you use the contact form, we store the name, email address, subject, and message you submit so we can respond to you.

Payment information. If you subscribe to a premium plan, payment is handled entirely by Stripe, our payment processor. We never see or store your full card number — Stripe shares with us only what's needed to manage your subscription, such as your plan and billing status.

MugoX's tools — including image, PDF, calculator, and text tools — are built to run entirely in your browser. When you use one of these tools, the files you upload or paste are processed on your own device and are never transmitted to our servers. This applies to every tool currently on MugoX. If that ever changes for a specific tool, we will update this policy and clearly disclose it on that tool's page before the change takes effect.

We use a small number of cookies to keep the site working and to understand how it's used:

Essential cookies. Used to keep you signed in and to remember basic preferences like your selected language and theme. These are required for the site to function and can't be disabled without breaking sign-in.

Analytics. Where configured, we use Google Analytics, Google Tag Manager, and/or Microsoft Clarity to understand aggregate usage patterns — which pages and tools are used, and how. These may set their own cookies.

Advertising. Where configured, we use Google AdSense to show ads. Google and its partners may use cookies to serve ads based on your visits to this and other sites. You can review or opt out of personalized advertising through Google's Ads Settings (adssettings.google.com).

MugoX uses several Google services: Google Sign-In for authentication, Google Analytics for usage measurement, and Google AdSense for advertising, where each is configured. Your use of these services is also subject to Google's own Privacy Policy (policies.google.com/privacy).

We use the information described above to: operate and maintain your account; provide and improve MugoX's tools and features; respond to messages sent through the contact form; understand aggregate usage so we can prioritize what to build next; detect and prevent abuse, such as automated or excessive use of free tools; and process payments for premium subscriptions. We do not sell your personal information.

We rely on a small number of service providers to operate MugoX: Google, for authentication, analytics, and advertising; Stripe, for payment processing; and Neon, for database hosting. Each provider only receives the information necessary to perform its function, and each has its own privacy practices governing that information.

We retain account information for as long as your account is active. Usage events and activity logs are kept for as long as reasonably useful for the purposes described above, after which they may be deleted or aggregated. Contact form submissions are retained long enough to respond to and resolve your inquiry. If you delete your account, we delete or anonymize the personal information associated with it, except where we're required to keep it for legal or security reasons.

Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, export, or delete your personal information. You can update your name and profile details from your account settings at any time. To request deletion of your account and associated data, or to exercise any other privacy right, contact us at mymugox@gmail.com and we will respond as required by applicable law.

MugoX is not directed at children, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13 (or the minimum age required by your local law). If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, contact us and we will delete it.

MugoX and the service providers we use may process and store information in countries other than your own. Where this happens, we rely on the safeguards those providers offer to protect your information in line with applicable data protection law.

We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your information, including encrypted connections (HTTPS), hashed passwords, and access controls on our database and administrative tools. No method of transmission or storage is perfectly secure, and we can't guarantee absolute security.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. If we make material changes, we'll update the "last updated" date at the top of this page. Continued use of MugoX after changes take effect means you accept the updated policy.
